Bio

A High School English and Creative Writing teacher by trade, I pride myself in being a writing ‘workhorse’. Growing up without much supervision, I seized the opportunity to immerse myself in the Horror genre through everything from Victorian horror literature to watching ‘Tales from the Crypt’ and classic Universal monster films. I consider the horror genre to have been my first academic pursuit, followed closely by my interest in the adventure genre.

Books and films, such as Indiana Jones, The Mummy, and Allan Quatermain fueled my imagination from a young age, inspiring heroic recess scenarios, where friends and I would defeat an imaginary enemy and discover “artifacts” on the playground. I have always been fascinated by the ancient world, particularly the myths, legends and artifacts of Ancient Greece, where I trace my heritage, and this interest can be easily identified in my writing. Amplified by my personal practice of Hellenic Paganism and my unwavering dedication to historical accuracy, this interest has pushed me to research as much about Ancient Mediterranean history as much as possible. When I am not writing, I can often be found in the antiquities section of a natural history museum - either in my local museum in Connecticut, or abroad.
